A Spider's-Eye Dew

Oh look!
There is dew in the grass…
All glittering in the morning sun…

But you have to get down on your hands and knees to really appreciate it…
Take a look…
From a spider’s-eye view…

No, even closer…
See?
Do you see it?

A tiny silk bridge…
From one dewey glass bead to the other.
Someone was busy whilst you slept.

◊ ◊ ◊

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

William Blake

  1. Hi Keir.. I’m going to do a “water” post soon and I remembered you had a really neat dew post although not the detail, and I’ve found it again – yay! Is it ok with you if I include the bottom photo in my post with the usual credit and link?
